They left behind traces of their history, from meticulously organised tools in the garden shed to a heartwarming story of family members connected to the French Resistance. Inside, the chalet is the epitome of cosy. It may be small, but it’s packed with thoughtful features and comfort. From the soft blankets on the sofa to the beautiful view of Lac Montriond outside your window, every detail is carefully curated to create a feeling of home. And in winter, the snow-capped mountains turn the lake into a peaceful wonderland. Every season has its charm, and each one brings a new type of beauty to the landscape.

And if you’re into climbing, the bronze climbing figure on the wall of Le Petit Rêve is a nod to the area's fantastic rock-climbing and via ferrata routes.
Cosy Comfort Inside
Even though the area is packed with things to do, there’s something so inviting about the chalet that makes it hard to leave. The warm, traditional decor feels like a hug when you walk in the door. The kitchen is small but functional, perfect for cooking a meal together after a day of exploring. And with comfortable seating in the living area, it’s a great place to relax and unwind.
One of the most charming features is the little wooden tool shed in the garden, left behind by the previous owners. It’s a treasure trove of vintage tools, and while it’s yet to be converted into something more, its history adds character to the whole place. You can almost picture the Swiss couple who owned it, carefully maintaining every corner of their beloved chalet. We’ve kept it just as it was – down to the boots and work jacket they left behind – and we’re dreaming of ways to turn it into something magical. Any ideas?

With only one tiny chalet available to rent on this side of the lake, the level of privacy is unmatched. You’ll feel like you have the entire place to yourselves, yet it’s close enough to everything you need. With restaurants around the lake and a free shuttle bus to Morzine during the summer and winter seasons, you’ll have the best of both worlds – quiet seclusion and easy access to town.
For me, what makes Le Petit Rêve so special is the feeling of being completely immersed in nature while staying somewhere so intimate and personal. It’s not a big, flashy resort – it’s a tiny, charming chalet with a heart full of stories and a view you’ll never forget.
